Category:News

StoreDot, a leading manufacturer of extreme fast charging (XFC) high energy battery solutions for electric vehicles, is making progress on its global manufacturing strategy on three continents. This strategy aims to serve its global automotive customers by localizing its supply chain in the US, Asia, and Europe. By doing so, StoreDot can efficiently produce batteries in existing and future local gigafactories to reduce carbon impact and enable just-in-time production efficiency.

Localized Production for a Sustainable Future

StoreDot CEO, Dr. Doron Myersdorf, believes that the new manufacturing strategy is an important milestone for the company as it builds a global supply chain and manufacturing footprint. The plan is to work collaboratively with OEM partners in the US, Europe, and Asia to supply them with world-class extreme fast charging batteries. Through this localized production, StoreDot can deliver batteries consistently, efficiently, conveniently, and sustainably, thus demonstrating their commitment to net zero.

Growing Network of Partnerships and Investments

StoreDot's groundbreaking XFC batteries and systems are now being tested by over 15 global automotive brands, and the company has additional potential manufacturing partnerships in the pipeline for this year. The company has a growing network of strategic global partnerships and investors, spanning the entire battery ecosystem. So far, it has received investments from global automotive manufacturers, including Daimler, VinFast, Volvo Cars, Polestar, and Ola Electric.

100inX Technology Roadmap

Last year, StoreDot revealed its 100inX strategic technology roadmap, which includes three generations of StoreDot technologies: silicon-dominant XFC, semi-solid state, and post-lithium architectures. The roadmap reaffirms that the timings for these will be delivered to automotive OEMs over the coming decade with 100in5 by 2024, 100in3 by 2028, and 100in2 by 2032.

Conclusion

StoreDot's progress in manufacturing extreme fast charge batteries on three continents is a significant achievement for the company. Its global manufacturing strategy aims to deliver batteries consistently, efficiently, and sustainably, while reducing the carbon impact of battery supply chains. With its growing network of partnerships and investments and its ambitious technology roadmap, StoreDot is poised to revolutionize the electric vehicle industry and lead the way towards a more sustainable future.
