SHS-self-propagating Ceramic Steel Pipe (SCP) is a type of composite pipe made by combining a steel pipe with a ceramic layer. The ceramic layer is formed using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, which creates a dense and wear-resistant layer. SCP is commonly used in abrasive and corrosive environments for long-lasting and low-maintenance pipeline systems.

Description

SHS (self-propagating high-temperature synthesis) ceramic steel pipe is a composite material made by combining steel and ceramics. It is produced through a process where a mixture of metal and ceramic powders are ignited and burned at high temperatures, resulting in a chemical reaction that creates a ceramic coating on the inside surface of the steel pipe.

SHS-self-propagating Ceramic Steel Pipe (SCP) and elbow create a new generation of abrasion and corrosion resistant engineering pipeline. The composite pipe is composed of three layers: ceramic , intermediate, and steel layers. The ceramic layer is formed by molten alumina at a temperature above 2500 degree. The molten alumina produced from the reaction Fe2O3+2Al=2Fe+Al2O3 spreads on the inside wall of the steel pipe under the influence of a centrifugal force, then solidifies, so the ceramic layer has high density and smooth surface and bonds to the steel pipe.

Features of SHS-self-propagating Ceramic Steel Pipe:

  1. High temperature resistance: SHS ceramic steel pipes are capable of withstanding high temperatures of up to 1200°C, making them ideal for use in high-temperature environments.
